Launch 6/30
In my illustration "Launch", I wanted to do something besides the usuall rocket lauunch. I drew a base-jumper launching himself into the unknown. I used water color for the background and colored pencil for the guy. What I found really interesting is that if I erased water-colors it would remove the paint. I used this technique to illustrate ocean wash in the water.
Kitchen Object Contour Line and Composition. 6/30
These Are my Kitchen Contour line drawings. I think I did very well with the stirrer and cup but think I could improve on the fork, potato skinner, and pizza cutter. I was not sure if I was to pick up my pencil after a line or not pick up my pencil until the end.

Blind Contour 6/29
This is my contour drawing of hand while looking at it. I tried to draw knuckles and fingernails. My hand has many curved lines. This is my contour drawing of my shoe while looking at it. I drew laces and stripes all on it. My show has many straight lines because of the patterns
This is my drawing of my show blind. The big glob in the middle is my attempt to draw she laces
This my drawing of my hand blind. I tried to draw finger nails but when I lifted up my pencil. I had no idea where to start again so I just guessed where they were supposed to be.

PhotoMontage: Through the Eyes of Emma
When I was brain storming for this photomontage, my dog walked up to me and I thought "What is my dog Emma thinking?" We have only had her for 6 months and I often wonder if she is happy in her new home. I decided to create my photomontage through the eyes of Emma. The first object that stands out is my Xbox michrophone. My dog loves anything with wires especially my Xbox mike "which is now broken and glued on the photomontage". My dog is also a chow hound which is why there are multiple treats and pieces of food on the paper. Most of the pictures are from Emma's point of view which is low to the ground looking up. There are lots of pictures of us tempting Emma with toys and treats. And no... we did not strap a camera on top of our dogs head. That would be cruel. :)
Stir 6/27
In my illustration of stir, I used the shaving cream and food coloring technique. I used shaving "gel" and it gave it a little bit different texture and was not as easy to manipulate. I also used three different types of paper: wax paper on right, wet paper towel on the top, and regular paper on the bottom. I wanted to give it the "stir" effect by showing three hands stirring it with spoons. I photographed the art on a green patterned table cloth to add to the "kitchen" theme.
